Collett Transport are proud to reacquaint ourselves with the Yorkshire Rams after nearly twenty years since we originally sponsored the team.

We specialise in the safe and specialised movement of heavy loads both nationally and internationally, general haulage, storage and warehousing and our fleet of vehicles has one of the best known liveries on the road today. We have built our reputation by our work ethic and professionalism.

Unusual Transport Specialists

When the Rams contacted me recently and asked if Collett Transport would sponsor the team it was a decision that I made with not only my heart, but with my head. In the present climate of corporate sponsorship you are looking for value for money out of any deal and I was keen to see that the ambition of the Rams organisation matched those of Collett Transport. I was not disappointed.

Their facilities match those of many professional sports teams and the South Leeds Stadium is a venue that anyone would be pleased to call home. The efforts of the backroom staff in building the team's brand and stock in the area has been down to hard work and a professional attitude and that is something we at Collett were happy to align our company with. In addition, their work in the community, although in it's infancy, is paying dividends already, with close to a hundred players registered under the age of 18 they are working hard to secure a future and that is something that Collett, as a sponsor, is looking for. The notion of a sports club embedding itself into a community is not that fashionable anymore, but as a business we see the benefits of this sort of approach for the continued success of their organisation.

Transporting a (very!) Wide Load

In addition, the Rams also understand the needs of a sponsor and in the short time since beginning our relationship, we have not been let down. One of the first things the team organised when we agreed to sponsor them was to arrange a television interview on the highly regarded news programme Look North. Not only did they manage to get our name mentioned in the live interview, but they also had it plastered across the sports correspondent's chest throughout the piece and in the background, giving more exposure to the Collett Transport brand than tens of thousands of pounds worth of advertising would do. In addition the team have worked with us to make sure that we were happy with the corporate package on matchday and that it lived up to our expectations. I know my kids can't wait for the season to start, and the way the team have used their funds and volunteer's time means that there will be hundreds of kids in South Leeds who will also have a great sporting year ahead.
